My coin won't scan

Scanning items generally works pretty flawlessly, but there are some things that can at times trip things up at times. Remember these tips:

The browser will ask for permission to use the camera on the device, be sure to approve this request.
The holder will in certain lighting conditions create a glare that can get in the way of the barcode.
Low lighting makes it difficult for many cameras to focus, seek out plenty of natural light, be sure the image in the view finder is in focus.
Place the barcode in the center of the scanning line, and fill the frame. Sometimes it is better to zoom the camera rather than move the camera too close (which can create focus issues for some cameras)
Some barcodes (particularly PCGS) can be cut off and are not readable. You will need to add those items to your stack manually.
More modern mobile phones are the best to scan with. Laptop cameras are notoriously low quality and have a more difficult time.

How do I list an item from my Stack for sale?

How do I list an item for sale on the Stack-n-Sell marketplace?

To maintain the integrity of our marketplace, only items that have been professionally graded and scanned into your digital "Stack" can be listed for sale. Follow these simple steps to get started:

Step 1: Scan Your Graded Item

Log into your Stack-n-Sell account using a supported browser (Google Chrome or Safari).
Navigate to the "My Account" drop-down menu and select "My Stack."
Click the gray "Item" button and select either "Scan a Graded COIN" or "Scan a Graded NOTE."
Your camera will launch. Position it over the graded holder until the scanner recognizes the item.
- Note: iPhone users should ensure their device is updated to the latest software version to enable the scanning feature.

Step 2: List for Sale

Once scanned, locate the item in your "Stack" and click on its image.
Click the blue "List for Sale" button.
Enter your desired listing price and confirm.

Important Requirements:

Grading: Only coins and notes graded by PCGS, NGC, or PMG are eligible for listing.
Verification: Items must be physically scanned into our platform to verify their authenticity and serial number before they can be sold.

My item arrived and no card was included

Accepted Answer

As noted when you made and confirmed the offer, only the graded item was included with your shipment.

The fact that the item has been graded and evaluated by a reputable grading company offers certainty that is was graded to be an authentic specimen. We validate that the item was not tampered with in any way and that the holder still contains an authentic specimen and of the grade issued by the grader. Other packaging materials, including holders, marketing cards, and other COA typically useful for authenticating non-graded items are not items authenticate as part of the transaction.

Many users have requested to have an informational card printed and delivered along with the graded coin. We are currently working with the supplier of these cards to see if that is something we can offer as an option for items that have them availiable. As that option becomes available we will definitely offer them to members who wish to purchase them.

Can I take my own photos of my items?

Absolutely. On the item editor If you click on "add images" the "my files" you will find the option for you to either attach an image from your photos or take an image with your camera.

What is stacking?

Accepted Answer

Stacking is the active of storing items in our property asset tracking software. You may scan anything you would like to. Only items that are graded and have been scanned into your stack may be listed for sale in the marketplace. As an added feature, the items which have been scanned into your stack will also track their market value.

Question 6

I sold multiple coins, can I send them to you in a single package?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you absolutely can send multiple coins in the same package. We only ask that you not hold on to orders waiting to sell another item so you can send them together. This is frustrating for buyers and could lead to fines for non-timely delivery of the coins you sold.
